An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Finance Manager at a global IT company based in Macquarie Park.
The Finance Manager will provide overall financial reporting, analysis, management
& support to the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) business. This position will report directly to the CFO & Senior Finance Director, Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team of Finance specialists, to ensure effective alignment and utilization of their skills.
  • Responsible for driving the overall budget and forecast cycles 
  • Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with the CMT Leader and Sales Managers, providing
  • value-add financial input and timely reporting to improve business and maximize top and bottom line.
  • Provide advice on the financial implications of management decisions and establish the financial soundness of proposed deals/transactions 
  • Drive & participate in design, implementation and monitoring of preventative & detective internal controls & related processes in field operations such as sales, procurement and general finance
  • Ensuring profits of the region are protected through the establishment of effective financial controls, implementing and managing appropriate management accounting and reporting systems, budgetary controls and expenditure procedures.
  • Preparation, completion and lodgment of all relevant statutory filings (e.g tax returns) and fiscal reports across the Australia and New Zealand entities
  • Repsonsible for monthly payroll and all statutory obligations pertaining to employment benefits (e.g Superannuation, payroll taxes, insurances)

  • Responsible for general accounting, financial statement preparation and analysis for all Australian and New Zealand legal entities
  • Responsible for internal and external audit requirements
The ideal candidate will
  • Be a qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • 10+ years experience post qualification
  • Strong understanding and experience in multinational financial operations
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Experience in dealing with complex transactions particularly as it pertains to revenue recognition for multi element deals
  • Ability to objectively view issues (financial and non-financial issues)
  • IT or Software industry background or exposure to software revenue recognition criteria, VSOE and SOX
  • Experience in all business processes and systems, including: closing, planning, forecasting, invoicing, credit,
  • collection and procurement
  • Demonstrated experience in design, implementation and monitoring of all internal controls & compliance
  • Experience of managing a small team
