Business Services Senior Accountant

Success Accounting Group are currently a rapidly growing CA public practice accounting and wealth planning firm based in South East suburb who are are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join their rapidly growing firm in their Mentone office. We pride ourselves on our strong customer-centric approach and unwavering ability to innovate and embrace with technology whilst focusing on delivering exceptional personal customer services to our clients.

This role has been formed out of the volume of new clients that we have taken on in the past year.

We do not focus all their work on returns for our clients but how to be our clients trusted advisor in the long run. To help them grow and advise accordingly.

Role Description

Reporting directly to the Partner, you will be responsible for the annual compliance work AND value-add consulting for a portfolio of large clients, and you will be the given the opportunity to progress at your own pace.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements and management reports, taxation returns, company trusts, individual and self managed super funds.
• Assist the Partner with ad hoc advisory projects
• Responsible to developing client relationships and providing them additional value services
• 50% value add consulting work  for clients and working closely with Success Wealth Group and wealth planners
• Fully client facing - attending face to face meetings and liaising over the phone
• Review junior/intermediate accountants tax files and mentor them.

Profile

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential you have:

• 5+ years experience in Business Services/Tax in Australia
• Close to completion of CA/CPA qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and pro-active mentality
• Relaxed and outgoing personality
• Leadership skills 
• Demonstrate drive and ambition
• Results focused and can meet KPIs
• Strong tax technical and experience and knowledge of XERO and MYOB cloud based software.
