Job Details

Mulgowie Farming Company is seeking a diligent person who can perform in a Payroll Officer role, based in Southwest Brisbane.  Reporting directly to the Payroll Coordinator, this is an exciting position in the fresh produce industry where you will assist in connecting our farm's produce to the consumer and have potential to grow your career. In your immediate role you will be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day payroll processing and support

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Execute, support and communicate daily time and attendance processing and interface with Payroll
  • Reconcile Payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmation reports
  • Support the Payroll Coordinator to:
    • Process lodgement, payment and reconciliation of periodic Payroll Tax, child support and PAYG
    • Reconciliation of payroll accounts
    • Process accurate and timely year end reporting
    • Process ad hoc financial and operational reporting as required
  • Complete manual validation checks related to VEVO compliance
  • Liaise with staff and managers in relation to payroll related issues in a confidential and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with statutory authorities for payroll related matters
  • Set up new employees into the Payroll system (ADI)
  • Prepare administrative changes to employee files as required
  • Process workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

Not essential but highly regarded:

  • Minimum 3 years full time in a payroll support or comparable role 
  • Experience interpretation and VEVO confirmation

  • Great attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and have the ability to work with confidential information
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well with diverse and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to remain proactive and solution focused
