We currently have an exciting opening for an Accounts All-Rounder to join a well-known energy organisation whose operations provide utility access for all Australians. This opportunity also offers the benefit of working in a close team based culture, where the work can also be quite fast paced when dealing with clients. This position is located within close proximity to the Melbourne CBD and can be accessed easily by trains, trams and buses.

Our client is a big player in the utilities world and offer a wide range of energy products and deals to clients of all sizes as well as everyday Australians. The organisation prides themselves on providing their customers with a high level of service and expertise. This position is one that will have you working as an Accounts All-Rounder at their Southbank location, where the work-place is very dynamic and enjoyable. This position is on an initial 2 month temporary basis with the view to permanency upon completion of the contract.
Description
Reporting to the Accounts Team Leader, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- End to end accounts receivable and payable
- Reconciliation of all relevant accounts
- Performing the credit control function to chase overdue debts
- Generation of month-end reports
- Paying invoices within strict credit terms
- Dealing with clients regarding problems or queries
- Liaising with various functions within the organisation
Profile
The successful applicant would ideally have previous experience working in an end-to-end Accounts role, experience across both accounts payable and receivable would be considered favourable. Having excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must in this position. As well as having a professionally phone manner and have the ability to deal with supplier problems quickly. A high attention to detail would also be preferred. Previous experience using Oracle would be advantageous.
