The Library & Archives Service of this major international postgraduate medical school is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative professional librarian to work closely with the User Support Services Librarian and the rest of the Information Services team on the delivery and development of the Library’s annual information literacy programme, the provision of the reading list service and liaison with two of the academic faculties.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of effectively delivering information literacy teaching and support to adults, and demonstrable knowledge of best practice and innovation in information literacy pedagogy, and knowledge of copyright as it applies to learning and teaching.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being service oriented. It is essential for the post-holder to have exemplary organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and the ability to take responsibility. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 5 scale in the range £33,567 - £38,533 (pro-rata).

This post is part-time, 0.6 FTE, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (with regular late-evening shifts), and is shared with another staff member who works 0.4 FTE on Monday and Tuesday.

The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
