The Nuffield Department of Medicine, Strategic (NDMS), is now recruiting for a Trainee Unit Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to advance their career within administration in the higher education sector. This role serves to ensure the strategic aims of the Department are met through the ability to provide high-level administrative support across the NDM units.
You will be educated to degree level and have a proven ability in administration and business management within an academic or commercial environment. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and in particular, can effectively build professional relationships with staff at varying levels within the Department. You will be capable of quickly assimilating new information across a broad range of business competencies and have a keen interest in personal development. Some experience of budget management with intermediate skills in the use of financial spreadsheets and databases, along with a basic understanding and knowledge of HR management, including recruitment ad selection of staff, retention, performance management and staff development are essential.
As a Trainee Unit Administrator you will be provided with extensive in-house training on all key business functions across NDM, and will be supported by an experienced mentor.
This position is available for a fixed-term of 2 years.
