EnerMech is a rapidly growing global mechanical engineering company, providing mechanical solutions to the oil, gas, petrochemical and general industries. Due to continued success and growth we require a Machinist to join the EnerMech team at our workshop in Berrimah.In more detail, this role will be required to undertake the following:
- Perform machining work using manual machinery, including but not limited to lathes, mills, drills, borers, saws, flange facers, key cutters and hot tap machines
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
- Carry out site works on various local and non local sites when required using on site machining equipment, particularly flange facers and clamshell lathes. Line boring and in situ milling experience is advantageous, but not essential
- Dimensional checking of items before and after machining
- Maintain finished quality of products to Australian and industry standards
- Help achieve restricted time constraints and client requirements
- Maintain a high level of safety standards and documentation / record keeping
- Ensure appropriate tools, equipment and consumables are being used
- Monitor use of EnerMech machining equipment to ensure only qualified and competent operators use and maintain it
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment
- Mechanical trade qualification
- On site machining experience
- Machining on manual lathes and vertical mills
- Read and interpret engineered prints and drawings
- Using machining measuring tools & gauges
- Ability to work in team environment
- Work alone with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills.
