About the Role
We currently have a leadership opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to play an integral part in managing the day to day operations at the Australian Taxation Office, located in Canberra City.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and performance of the site and will provide visible leadership, direction and issue resolution at the front line of service, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness are maintained at a consistent level.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver operations excellence with an emphasis on rostering  to ensure the operational needs are met
• Direct liaison with client representatives and its customers
• Staff supervision and frontline performance management
• Front line response to operational issues
• Investigation and outcome reporting into security incidents.
• Communication & implementation of processes and procedures to enhance client service delivery.
• Promote security awareness, interacting with staff and key stake holders
• Creating, managing and evaluating the effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide 24/7 emergency response for all security, operations and facility related areas.

Experience within a similar role is a must. There is an emphasis on your commitment to excellence, being an innovative individual who can understand and appreciate the core values of our client whom expects every experience with their customers’ are of the highest standard at each interaction.

Our successful applicant will be able to demonstrate and give working examples of:

• Being an effective, confident and influential communicator in both verbal and written forums
• Managing the day to day running of a security team
• A team player who will ensure the security team operates cohesively
• High degree of customer service experience, that will ensure an impeccable customer service experience for all
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain professional at all times even under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• High degree of computer skills & experience in rostering for a team of up 30 security and administrational personnel.

The successful application will be required to work 0700-1600 Monday to Friday, and provide additional after hours support / coverage as required.

It is mandatory that you hold a current ACT Security Licence and have (or have the ability to obtain) a Baseline security clearance.
