This reputable company specialises in the design and manufacture of automated production, robotics and process machinery. A leading expert in automation & robotic solutions globally that improve productivity, reliability, yield, and safety for manufacturers and processors in industries. The successful candidate will have previous experience with programming and fault finding on a wide variety of industrial machinery, field networks and PLCs.
Key responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems
- Carry out PLC & other automation device programming
- General electronics experience
- Install and commission machines - local, interstate and international
- Attend to service work for automation equipment and systems
- Provide technical assistance to project and other service engineers
- Whilst providing the required technical support, proactively source other opportunities available to provide further services.
The successful applicant MUST have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance of automated packaging lines including fault finding, mechanical and electrical repair/installation minor program modifications.
- Qualified Electrical Mechanic- trade certificate
- Grade A Electrician License
- Demonstrated programming and service experience with industrial robots is preferred
- Prior experience working independently at customer sites.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in reading, interpreting and editing electrical/pneumatic schematics and diagrams
- Ability to learn new computer, robot or PLC software.
- You must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, plus a desire to see projects through, from design to completion.
- Ability to travel interstate on occasion will be required.
