A permanent full time position for a Quality Assurance Supervisor with a strong experience is available in the Somerset region, just North West of Brisbane. Your role will cover a wide range of Quality Assurance duties. Overall, you will be responsible for ensuring the food produced is fit for human consumption and to specification. In order to achieve this, you will participate in internal and external audits, quality checks and sampling. Typical duties include:
- Conduct production line audits on GMP, SOPs and HACCP
- Coordinate a team of 4-5 QA officers
- Assist with retailer and supplier audits
- Ensure sanitation, pest control and quality policies and processes are being followed
- Conduct quality control checks and swab testing
- Monitor wastage and environmental issues
- Conduct investigations to any customer complaints and report back to management
- Ensure all information and data is entered in the quality management system
- Report on Quality Assurance findings
- Other ad hoc duties as required
In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications in food science or technology
- Experience in a QA role in food manufacturing
- Proven leadership skills
- Full work rights for Australia
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail
