An exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Development Manager is now available to join our Property team. This team is responsible for delivering a diverse range of new housing and land supply projects that enhance existing neighbourhoods in both established areas of Melbourne and strategic regional locations across Victoria.

 



About the Role:

 

We are at an exciting point in our business transformation journey with a fantastic portfolio of existing and new projects. To further enhance the delivery of these projects in the Property team, we are seeking an Assistant Development Manager to support the delivery of the Taylors Lakes and Jacksons Hill projects. Reporting to a team of experienced development professionals, you will be a major contributor in the planning, design, documentation, marketing and construction phases.

As an Assistant Development Manager, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development, management and delivery of Project strategies;
  • Assist with preparation of project, consultant and contractor scopes that are aligned to the project strategies;
  • Preparation and administration of robust organisational procurement processes;
  • Support the team with a range of contractual and financial activities, including preparation of feasibilities, management of contracts, budget and progress payments;
  • Preparation and formatting of internal and outgoing correspondence, board papers, agendas and minutes, memos and other project documentation as required by the team;
  • Coordinate and participate in project control meetings and stakeholder forums.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in a property development, construction, civil engineering, or project management
  • Previous work experience in a property related role, with previous experience in construction delivery being highly advantageous
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office and adobe pro or PDF based programs
  • Experience with electronic filing systems and / or financial software ideal
  • Prior experience in the delivery of high quality customer service
  • Experience working in an environment requiring liaison with, and coordination of, multiple stakeholders
  • Exposure to the preparation and analysis of financial feasibility studies, budgeting and cost monitoring
