Our Tax Team
Our Melbourne Tax team is one of the most successful and largest practices in Australia and is led by industry experts, with extensive experience across the full spectrum of tax laws. We regularly act on some of Australia's largest transactions.
As a result of growth, we are looking for a talented Senior Associate to join our Corporate Tax team and play a key role in supporting partners, Elissa Romanin [link removed] and Adrian Varrasso [link removed].
Your role
This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with a diverse client base, ranging from major corporates and multinationals to high net worth individuals and family businesses. Your work will not be limited to one industry, as the team works across varied sectors, including the energy and resources, real estate, pharmaceutical sectors.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically astute practitioner who is looking to fast track their career in a top law firm.
More about you
On your first day, we expect you to have:
- at least 5 years' experience working at a top-tier or highly regarded mid-tier firm
- strong technical expertise in corporate tax matters (with expertise in capital gains tax and consolidation), international tax and employment tax
- strong client facing skills and the ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
- the ability to provide guidance and mentoring to the junior lawyers in the team
- initiative and drive to identify and follow through on business development opportunities
- the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
