This market leading insurance organisation are seeking an experienced Mental Health Claims Consultant to join their passionate Workers Compensation team. Your new role

  • Develop strong customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service to all parties including workers, employers, providers/stakeholders and families/support networks
  • Tailored and empathetic delivery of adverse outcomes to all relevant stakeholders, with a solutions focus wherever possible
  • Make decisions based on an authorisation framework (eligibility and weekly payments, treatment/services, work capacity decisions, entitlement decisions and application of legislation).
  • Manage the closure process for cases
  • Engagement and collaboration with client on all litigated matters and SLM matters
  • Proactively identify and plan pre and post-hospitalisation needs including hospital rehabilitation, ADL assessments, family support and transportation.
  • Managing and responding to complex treatment and surgery request (in line with the authorisation delegation)


What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary studies in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology or Exercise Science) advantageous.
  • Insurance/workers insurance experience and/or relevant community or clinical based experience of coordinating services for people with serious injuries or disabilities
  • Holistic view of injury /claims management with the ability to engage with all stakeholders such as workers, employers, providers and family
