MORE ABOUT THE ROLE 



The Risk Consultant role reporting into the Head of Claims Strategy and Governance is key role in the business as to explain and facilitate the Claims Business unit in managing the risk within the claims

Some of your key responsibilities will be

  • Consideration of risks as part of business planning
  • Consideration of  delivered risks as projects evolve
  • Supporting the business on Regulatory change impacts
  • Support, monitor and track business controls and facilitate the closure of risks and issues arising
  • Facilitate the analysis of the available risk management information to enable sharing of meaningful insights and provide a trend and root cause analysis
  • Maintenance and facilitation of action on:
    • Risk profile
    • Control testing plan
    • Obligations list/ attestations
    • Events management
    • Audit items
    • Regulatory review items
    • Breaches
    • Risk Management Forums
    • Mandatory Training Reporting

To be considered for the role you will have

  • You will have minimum 3+ years demonstrated experience within the Life Insurance/ Financial services industry  in a previous role that has assisted business areas in managing their risk
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong Analytical skills and problem solving attitude.
  • Excellent advisory & written communication skills and your approach when contemplating risk is both consultative & strategic.
  • Demonstrate best practice , personal resilience and professionalism when dealing with external and internal stakeholders
