About the role

The Recovery Specialist role is pivotal in achieving AMP’s goals and is focused on providing a high level of recovery service, rehabilitation coordination, disability management advice and coaching for claims teams.

Duties

• Provide a holistic review of cases, incorporating all available information, with a view to effectively advising and supporting Case Managers

• Competent and comfortable in the use of functional interviewing, proactive case management and complex communications techniques

• Optimally engaging all stakeholders (particularly customer, employer and treating health practitioners) to ensure highest customer satisfaction and return to best life for the customer

• Building strategic and collaborative internal relationships with key stakeholders

• Manage complex and difficult conversations with stakeholders

• Understands the impact of influencing factors beyond the medical diagnosis. Able to expertly elicit these from all stakeholders and incorporates these into holistic case management practice

• Consult with Case Managers to implement case management plans and proactively drive the case toward the optimal claim outcome.
