  Company - Our client is a leading online platform for small business loans which has recently announced expansion into the Australian market, introducing its disruptive online lending solution to Australia’s over two million small businesses. They are a technology-enabled small business lender that can evaluate, approve and fund small business loans as fast as the same day. Position Overview - In this Sales Team Leader role, you will manage and lead a team of Sales Agents. You will be responsible for providing daily motivation and guidance to your team. Success in this role is measured not only by monthly sales goals but also ensuring your team stays aligned with our company values. Ultimately, you will lead by example and engage the team to achieve their goals.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Provide daily support to team members to help maximise performance and achieve monthly quota
  • Assist team members with their:
  •  
-  Pipeline management (funnel conversion rates)
-  Sales conversations with customers where sales agent are unable to close opportunities
-  Database management. Providing constructive feedback to agents where they should be spending time identifying opportunities
-  Relationship management both with external & internal stakeholders (Risk, operations, marketing, legal, etc.)
 
 
  • Regularly identify training and development needs across the team and at an individual sales agent level
  • Communicate quota expectations at the beginning of each month
  • Hiring of sales agents (including temporary staff as required) on a as needed basis
  • Monitoring progress of each team member to their quotas weekly and key KPI’s on a daily and weekly basis
  • Conduct weekly call reviews to make sure all credit and legal / compliance requirements are met
  • Conduct weekly call reviews to  help coach and develop team members
  • Developing and maintaining accurate product and credit knowledge and coaching the team around any updates or changes
  • Liaising and maintaining strong internal relationships with all departments including Credit, Risk, Operations, Marketing, Legal, etc.
  • Monitoring of correct lead notes on all team members input into CRM systems
  • Meet weekly reporting requirements including competitors, KPI and lead management reports
  • Understanding concepts and strategy of deal structure and then apply these concepts and strategy that are proven models for successful booked loans to help team achieve quota
  • Provide exceptional customer service as a second voice or escalation to Merchants if needed
  • Serve as an ambassador for the brand
 
Experience / Qualifications
 
 
  • Demonstrated background leading a team of 5+ sales agents for a minimum period of 2yrs
  • Demonstrated background of 2+ years in an individual contributor role (sales agent)
  • Formal qualifications including under graduate degree, preferably in the fields of Economics, Commerce, Marketing, etc.
