About the Role:
To help expand our clients growing Forensics practice we are seeking an experienced Forensic Accountant to lead a small team and work directly with two Forensics Partners. The two Partners cover different areas of Forensics - one works heavily in Family Law and company investigations and the other specialises in fraud, cyber security and the terrorist financing space.
We are seeking an individual with experience and interest in the family law / corporate investigation area and who can run jobs on their own. This is a fantastic career opportunity to work directly with an experienced and respected Partner and run your own team.
Duties:
- Conducting complex financial investigations using contemporary investigation methodologies in corporate and government.
- Preparation, planning and assisting in high profile commercial dispute negotiations
- Prevention assignments to assist clients prevent, detect and respond to forensic matters/irregular events
- Review and identification of the critical financial elements relevant to commercial disputes
- Identification of documents that will assist in the determination of issues in dispute
- Detailed review and analysis of the financial performance of businesses
- Research and analysis of a variety of business, industry and economic data/information
- Client liaison and assist in the provision of expert advice
- Managing client engagements and junior staff
- Prepare forensic reports for use in corporate or regulator/court setting
- Contribute to the forensic team locally and nationally with business development initiatives and team events
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a forensic accountant
- CA qualified
- Capable report writer
- Experience in family law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented
