Job Description
Your new role
The Project Controller is responsible for the management of project schedule and cost in conjunction with Project Managers (PM) and Control Account Managers (CAM). The role is primarily responsible for the financial management, reporting and governance of a series of projects and requires substantial stakeholder engagement and business partnering. In addition to providing all of the usual analysis and reporting, you're able to demonstrate the 'so what' value behind the numbers in order to influence decision making in your business.
Experience in the following is required:
- Project Controllership - business partner to project managers in support of project financial management, governance and reporting;
- Project Accounting - manage updates to WBS cost structure in financial system and ensure reporting against budget;
- Earned Value Management - manage Cobra EVM system and report against EVM metrics
- Analytics - ability to interrogate and understand the numbers;
- Pricing & Financial Modelling - support in pricing new business, including pricing for large tenders.
Qualifications
About you and what you'll bring
You are a seasoned Project Controller from a global business background, ideally in ICT or defence. You excel in building relationships and being a credible source of guidance and counsel for your stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in EVM is required along with proven results in project controls. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Project Management is required and CPA is highly valued. Australian citizenship is required due to Australian Security Clearance requirements.
