Position:  Bookkeeper

Southport Smash is seeking an experienced full time bookkeeper.

This role works closely with the Director of the company to produce the daily cash flow position and to generate the monthly profit and loss and financial reports.  This is a varied role and attention to detail is paramount.  It is not just a data entry role; the successful applicant would be able to see the big financial picture.  It would suit someone that is used to dealing with multiple entities and loan accounts.

The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:

• Daily bank reconciliations for multiple entities
• Updating the cash flow daily
• Reconciling inter-entity loan accounts
• End to end accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Weekly payroll using MYOB (around 15 employees)
• Ad hoc duties as required by the Director

We envisage the successful applicant to have:

• A good working knowledge of MYOB
• A good working knowledge of the Microftsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good overall knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
• BAS experience (preferably)
• Strict attention to detail and be highly organised
• The ability to prioritize and is not easily flustered
• Great time management skills and initiative

Hours of work are from 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (1 hr lunch).  Salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant and will be dependent on skills and experience.
