A 6-month contract opportunity has arisen for an ambitious newly-qualified, practice trained accountant (big 4 preferred) to assume a high profile role within an ASX listed company based in the CBD.  Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is a unique opportunity for an auditor to quickly develop a well rounded skill set, encompassing management accounting, financial modelling, financial reporting and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Statutory reporting and assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts
• Help drive the month end process
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Assist with profit improvement across the wider business
• Ad hoc reporting and assisting on projects

The business is undergoing a significant transformation project at present and the successful candidate will be given unlimited exposure to project work. An audit background is essential and suitable applicants must have demonstrated technical accounting ability, ideal working across large listed clients.
