The Company
As one of Australia’s’ acclaimed Arts bodies, this organisation is renowned for the production of a number of classical arts events throughout each year. They have built up a strong reputation for the production of some groundbreaking events in recent years and have had a very stable team for the last few years. With a creative work based culture and a close knit finance team with a collaborative perspective, you will enjoy a busy role which adds a lot of instant value.
The Role
This is a broad Assistant Accountant role including a range of tasks as you cover a pivotal role within the business. Your duties will include:
- Full function Accounts Payable
- Full function Accounts Receivable
- Overseeing the payroll function.
- Various reconciliation – bank, credit card, GL
- Handling petty cash
- Ad hoc project work with the Financial Controller.
Your Background
The suitable candidate will have similar experience in an Assistant Accountant role and have started studying towards an accounting qualification. In addition to this you must be highly organised, proactive in your approach to your work, and have excellent communication. This role is to start as soon as possible so you must be available within a maximum of 2 weeks’ notice.
