About the role...
We're looking for an accomplished and experienced Financial Controller / Company Accountant to join our growing accounting department. Depending on your availability and experience, we have a full time or part time role available.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant who's comfortable being responsible for ensuring our financial policies, procedures and practices comply with accounting standards, as well as statutory and government requirements internationally, including VAT, GST, sales tax etc.
This is a hands on role, working alongside two other in-house accountants. You'll be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting including:
- Monthly Financial Reporting
- Cash Flow Projections
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Commission Calculations
- Statutory Lodgments
- Bank Reconciliation
- Sales Tax, BAS and VAT Reporting
About you...
We are looking for a very intelligent, self motivated, hard working, high achieving accountant, with a proven track record. As this is a small business, we're looking for someone who can multi-task, wear multiple hats and work fast.
The successful candidate will have several years experience, a strong skill set and proven track record.
- Strong Xero skills (not a deal breaker for an outstanding candidate)
- Advanced Excel abilities
- Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
- Well developed time management skills
- Strong systems awareness and an interest in improving systems
- Ability to think fast, work fast... and type fast.
