This is a traditional field-based role where you will work predominately from the road or home office visiting the Dandenong offices once a week for a sales meeting. What you will be doing:

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify and sell a variety of industrial, construction and rural equipment to a broad range of industries including the building, construction, civil, mining and local government across Victoria. The secondary responsibility of this role is to manage and grow an existing portfolio of loyal customers across the state of Victoria selling maintenance and service contracts. Due to the size of your territory, you will be required to travel regularly across Melbourne including visiting regional towns which may result in 1 - 2 nights away from home per month.

What you must have to apply for this role:

  • A number of years proven field-based sales experience selling high-value equipment
  • A strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Flexibility to spend 1 - 2 nights away from home per month
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

You will be highly regarded if you also have:

  • Currently working in a field-based sales role for a materials handling equipment manufacturer
  • A network of contacts across the building, construction, civil, mining and local government industries in Victoria
