Are you an experienced New Business Development Manager looking to join a global ASX listed organisation and take the next step in your career?

As part of the Sales and Service team, your role will be to drive new business growth through strategically targeted initiatives across new markets, new channels and new customers.  This is a critical and strategically important role with high level exposure internally and could potentially be a great platform for rapid career growth at CHEP.  This role will be based out of our North Ryde office, and reports directly to the Director, New Business.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Broadening our customer base through category expansion
  • Identifying potential new target markets and distribution channels through market research and analysis
  • Proactively managing the sales funnel, focusing on customers of significant value
  • Converting sales opportunities and on-boarding new customers
  • Presenting proposals based on value and customer solutions
  • Conducting focused industry research to understand trends and key customer involvement
  • Attending industry events and sourcing networking opportunities

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in Business, Commerce or a related field
  • Significant experience in new business development involving a complex sales cycle
  • Experience in selling to the food service, independent grocery or QSR sectors would be an advantage
  • A strong understanding of distribution channels and supply chains
  • Exposure to preparing complex sales proposals based on value and customer solutions
  • Experience in leading high level negotiations with senior customers
  • Resilience, persistence and a high level of energy and initiative
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A solid level of financial and commercial acumen
