The Role:

The purpose of the Enterprise and Government Business Development Manager is to achieve new recurring revenue by the prospecting, qualification and closing of new business.

The role works closely with the E&G Commercial Team as well as the E&G Technical Team, to ensure that MNF is presenting a competitive product suite to the market with a view to maximising margin. An Account Specialist will be available to assist the Business Development role with more complex presales consulting activities as well as supporting sales materials.

The role works closely with the Commercial Team to ensure that MNF is taking advantage of partnership and tender opportunities, with Operations both during onboarding and BAU and will be supported with access to an Account Specialist who will provide more complex presales consulting activities and manage the supporting sales materials.

  • Work to identify, qualify and close new customers.
  • Manage the end to end sales process by ensuring that the solution is prepared, the appropriate resources are engaged and the customer proposals developed and delivered.
  • Act as customer advocate by providing direction on operational product development.
  • Develop, lead and implement the sales strategy including the forming of commercial judgement relating to competition issues and commercial trade-offs required to achieve the sales strategy.
  • Assist with the development of responses to tender and partnership processes and assist in the onboarding of key enterprise and government customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A network of existing Enterprise and Government contacts from which the role can leverage.
  • Previous experience and demonstrated success in an IT or Telecom Business Development or Sales role.
  • Good knowledge of telecommunications market and technology including IP and UC.
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Excellent networking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and well-developed problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions with a view to maximising value.
  • Current drivers license.
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Additionally, you will ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Intermediate level of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio and Project)
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
