This is your opportunity to utilise your solid sales and relationship building skills when developing new opportunities within  a large group of existing customers.

Our client is a very successful, privately owned, engineering consulting group who have gone from strength to strength since their commencement some 9 years ago.  With a client base that includes Australia's largest commercial and industrial energy users, they are seeking a professional Business Development Manager who can deliver first class results when expanding their range of ENERGY efficiency engineering projects.   

You will need the skills to service, maintain and expand existing client relationships with the aim to increase the value and complexity of services offered.  By implementing strategic approaches, you will be able to build the depth and value of key relationships in order to shape mutual trust, mutual value and significant recurring sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying potential opportunities to improvement Clients' energy management, that offers financial returns through the generation of White Paper Certificates and project services.
  • Qualifying potential opportunities and in turn developing them into effective and compelling proposals in conjunction with the Engineering team.
  • Securing orders efficiently and effectively through consistent and effective communications with clients, in order to maximise the conversion rate of proposals issued.
  • Facilitiate efficient project delivery by obtaining project evidence, data and documentation as agreed with the Engineering team.
  • Contribute to strategy planning and business development initiatives.

Your skills should include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering or related discipline, OR significant industrial experience involving the implementation of technical solutions on industrial sites in a wide range of sectors.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in energy management, energy efficiency or related areas.
  • Excellent communication, pipeline and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to meet sales targets.
  • Ability to create a professional, positive and supportive outlook within the Sales team and wider business.
