You will be working for a well-established family run Systems Integrator that offers IT Solutions that are vendor agnostic and Managed Services to corporate clients across Australia. They have their own Data Centre and their Support function is onshore in Australia. The company believes in ensuring that their clients’ needs come first, and they want to hire people that have the same beliefs.

With offices in North Sydney, the company is looking for a BDM who can build a business in a newly created role. You will be responsible for bringing on new clients who want to buy IT Managed Services. You will understand the MSP space and will be able to identify clients whether they are start-ups or Enterprise anywhere in Australia that you can add a value-added service to.

This is a true BDM role working alongside the Managing Director who is a highly successful sales person and you will want to run your desk like it is your own business bringing on new logos to generate revenue.

You may also have the potential of working from home once you understand the business processes & procedures

The role:

  • New business development with the aim of bringing on new clients for Managed Services
  • The ability to create IT Solutions for your clients by understanding their business needs
  • Revenue generation from new clients with sales of Managed Services & IT Solutions
  • Create and develop client relationships
  • Create and develop vendor relationships
  • Create and develop internal stakeholder relationships for technical support & order processing
  • Consistently achieve sales targets and KPI’s
  • Pipeline and CRM management
  • Management reporting

To be successful in this role, you must have the following essential criteria:

  • Previous sales experience selling IT Managed Services
  • Experience gained in a Systems Integrator, reseller or IT vendor is preferred
  • A proven track record of new logo development and bringing new clients on board
  • A proven track record of sales achievement
  • The ability to understand a client’s needs and create IT Solutions that suit their business
  • Strong client focus, always putting the customer’s needs first
  • First class communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • The ability to build a business from scratch, treat your desk like it is your own business
  • Self-motivated with initiative and perseverance
  • Excellent client presentation skills
