The primary role of the Developer Account Manager is to manage and coordinate client (builder/developer) expectations and relationships.

It is the Developer Account Manager responsibility to ensure that the organisation provides a dedicated point of contact for builders in the assistance of establishing the Delos Welltek program into the builder’s core business and operations.

Through the Developer Account Manager all initial phase coordination will be performed including:

  • Develop and execute on strategies for targeted accounts as well as mining and developing existing accounts.
  • Establish, build and manage multi-level relationships within customer and partner organisations.
  • Develop strategic solutions for business improvement and problem solving for customers.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of both the customers’ businesses and that of its market competitors to ensure that effective strategic solutions are provided.
  • Set planning objectives and review them with Senior Management.
  • Effectively utilise senior management to enhance position with customers.
  • Ensure effective and accurate customer records, account plans, business forecasts and revenue reports are produced in a timely manner.
  • The initiation of a project steering committee.
  • Co-ordination of builder launch times (work with Sales and Marketing Manager).
  • Co-ordinate of marketing materials (work with Sales and Marketing Manager). 
  • Co-ordinate of sale materials (work with Sales and Marketing Manager).
  • Help co-ordinate supplier agreements (work with Purchasing Manager).
  • Other duties as directed.

Post the initial set up of a developer, the account manager will continue as the main point of contact for the developer(s) and will help to:

  • Manage builder issues (e.g. late deliveries, incorrect stock delivery, etc).
  • Co-ordinate pricing.
  • Assist in coordination of project product supply.
  • Co-ordinate ongoing upskilling of developers internal team.
  • Providing offering of new product etc. 
  • Co-ordinate joint marketing collateral within Delos guide lines and parameters.

To ensure the Developer Account Manager has sufficient understanding of issues specific to their builder it is intended that they will, during the initial phase assist the 4PL company in performing QA audits and the commissioning of the system.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in business relationships and developing strategic sales plans.
  • Commercial astuteness with proven ability to create strategic plans which satisfy customers’ needs and business.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong executive relationships across multiple functional areas within key accounts.
  • Proven track record of selling complex solutions in the Enterprise space, ideally including the telecommunications, retail and government sectors.
  • Experience with conducting presentations and demonstrations to all levels of management.
  • High levels of personal commitment and dedication and willingness to accept responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated to succeed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and professional presentation, able to negotiate complex business solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities Work directly with the developer / builder to develop appropriate product roll out time lines.

Developers Account Manager Job Duties:

  • Establish relationships with relevant management groups within the developer / builder organisation
  • Provide ongoing support to the developer / builder to ensure the relationship is of the highest quality and any arising issues are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide assistance in the development of developer / builder specific training and marketing materials.
  • Drive coordination of the development of joint marketing collateral
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of developer / builder workings, strategies and procedures
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of Delos Welltek offerings, both product and services, to ensure developer / builder to taking full advantage of the resources available to them.
  • Maintain and track QA of developer / builder, provide assistance in the implementation of appropriate QA procedures.
  • Provide initial support to the 4PL company to ensure face to face experience with the end user is paramount and specific issues that may be associated with the builder are appropriately addressed.

Key relationships:

  • Reports to CEO and assist to support developer / builder in the network.
  • Product Development – ensuring the developer / builder is up to date with new product offerings 
  • Operations Manager – Ensuring that developer / builder operations are in line with Delos Welltek company strategy. Maintaining clear guidance on services and product available 
  • Marketing Manager – ensuring developer / builder marketing remains within guidelines and that Delos Welltek is able to provide assistance wherever and whenever necessary.
  • Training Manager – Ensuring that developer / builder training needs are maintained and areas of additional training requirements are recognized and addressed.
