With offices in Cairns and Townsville, Precruitment is North Queensland’s local leading recruitment consultancy, specializing in permanent and temporary roles. We are celebrating 20 years in business and due to growth, looking to take on an experienced recruitment consultant to join our successful Commercial perm team in sunny Cairns. Our Cairns team are dynamic and high achieving recruitment professionals. Your focus will be to deliver timely and exceptional talent solutions to our clients throughout North & Far North Queensland. You will bring recruitment expertise, preferably from the white collar, commercial or professional services sectors. You will be a confident, capable recruiter that is happy striking a balance between business development, building relationships and overachieving your targets.
You will be mentored by some of the best recruitment leaders in our industry, which will enable you to successfully work with our extensive database of clients and candidates. As a Recruitment Consultant, you will not only manage relationships with our well-known client base but also further grow the commercial portfolio through your networking and commitment to exceeding expectations.
This 360-degree consultant role comes with the following responsibilities:
- Achieving revenue targets & meeting individual & team KPIs in a fast-moving sales environment
- Developing new business with prospective clients and keeping in regular contact to service, nurture & developing existing client relationships through regularly attending meetings, client functions & industry events
- Understanding clients’ business operations & solving their recruitment needs
- Selecting & matching candidates for appropriate positions, arranging interviews and fully briefing candidates on the company and role
- Taking responsibility for candidate care and keeping in regular contact with our candidates
You are naturally a people person, with a flair for customer service. You will bring exceptional business and sales acumen, with the capacity to develop and maintain relationships with our highly valued clients and candidates. You will be organised, have a great eye for detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where no one day is ever the same.
Ideally, you are currently working in recruitment or wanting to get back into recruitment after a short break (no more than 2-3 years out of recruitment), with a solid understanding of the professional business market and economic environment. We are also open to experienced candidates that are attracted to the Cairns lifestyle and could see themselves continuing their successful recruiting career in the relaxed lifestyle that Cairns offers!
We are seeking a high calibre recruiter that meets ALL of the criteria:
- At least 3 years of white collar recruitment experience, permanent or temp
- An ability to manage & build strong relationships with candidates & clients
- Ambitious, well presented and highly motivated individual with consistent recruitment sales track record
- A self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
- Formal qualifications will be highly regarded, along with & exceptional writing & oral communication skills

We are ideally seeking a permanent person. However, for the right candidate, we may consider offering the position as a 12 month fixed term contract.
