The role

Our Eastern Creek facility is a start of the art refrigerated Distribution Centre (DC) critical to ensuring the freshest produce reaches our customers across NSW each day.

In your role as Health and Wellbeing Specialist, you’re responsible for providing specialist and complex case management and technical advice to facilitate effective claim closure outcomes across the DC, with focus on improving team member wellbeing.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• a solid track history in workplace rehabilitation and injury management
• exceptional technical knowledge and experience in workers compensation legislation with your experience gained within consultancy, insurers, agents or relevant self- insured environments
• a bachelor's degree in an allied health profession such as Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Psychology
• comfort operating as an influencer and negotiator, allowing you to manage varied stakeholder groups in a complex structural and regulatory environment
• outstanding communication and interpersonal skills allow you to effectively work with and manage medical providers

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• support DC leaders in delivering a continuous reduction in team member incidents and injuries by providing insights into culture and facilitating cultural change
• work collaboratively with team members who require support
• partner with DC leaders to develop capability in leading people through complex worker compensation issues through to resolution
• collaborate with Wesfarmers Group and other key stakeholders to develop a holistic and strategic case management plan for each injured team member and taking ownership of complex claims to closure
• liaise with treating practitioners and allied health providers to facilitate return to work and influence medical certification to drive outcomes
