Our client is a known and respected innovator in community-based recovery and rehabilitation service supporting people living with mental illness and psychiatric disability. They aim to improve the health, independence and pursuit of a life based on an individual's strengths, values and goals. They provide services in more than 50 locations, ranging from the inner-city and suburbs to regional and remote parts of Australia.

The Role
Based at their national Head Office in metro Melbourne, the Human Resource Advisor (internally known as the Capability & Culture Consultant) will work closely with two existing team members and report to the Manager - Capability & Culture. The aim of the team is to build collaborative partnerships with managers, respond to complex staffing issues, provide tailored IR/ER advice and build local leadership capacity to achieve engaged, high functioning teams.

Drawing upon your expertise in leadership and contemporary HR thinking, you will have input into strategic workforce and organisational development initiatives and projects as well as HR policy development an implementation.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
  • Leadership experience in service delivery within NFP/Human Services organisations with a keen interest in HR and people management issues or a more traditional HR background in NFPs and have a rich understanding of the front line services coupled with the staffing and management challenges and opportunities this presents
  • The desire to work within a close knit team and collaborative environment
  • An ability to work autonomously and share an attitude toward continuous improvement
  • Sound analytical and problem solving and project skills 
  • The flexibility required to thrive in a dynamic environment without rigid structure and see opportunities presented in times of change
Salary & Benefits
A generous salary in the range of $73,000 - 79,000 + Super and NFP packaging (pro rata) will be offered depending on skills and experience. You will also join a large nationally recognised leader in mental health service and have opportunity to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
