Partnering with this market leader based in Brisbane's CBD, I am looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to write clear, compelling documentation with simplified technical and/or complex information for business stakeholders.
As the Senior Business Analyst you will have highly developed listening skills to effectively capture and understand customer requirements and produce a business case which accurately reflecs these. This is an initial 6-month contract + extensions thereafter based in the CBD.
About the Role:
- Responsible and accountable for the planning, development and production of business cases so that they comply with the requirements of the Enterprise Project Management Office;
- Proactively engage with business stakeholders and understand business drivers and objectives influencing business cases for potential projects;
- Maintain and develop in depth working knowledge of ICT services and strategic direction in order to tailor business cases to meet stakeholder needs;
- Establish appropriate working groups and run workshops to develop contents and solution recommendations with stakeholders and ICT subject matter experts;
- Prepare accurate estimates of costs and resources required to deliver the proposed project; Provide status reporting regarding business case development milestones, dependencies, risks and issues and deliverables;
- Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders; and
- Work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in to achieve common business objectives;
About You:
- 5 + years experience in IT management roles with strong business engagement, project management and business case development;
- Ability to write clear, compelling documentation with simplified technical and/or complex information for business stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience implementing mature demand management processes for IT services;
- Demonstrated experience in both strategic and operational business engagement roles;
- Demonstrated experience implementing changes to partnering approaches and stakeholder management processes, with successful results;
- Experience in a business-IT relationship management role in a digital services environment;
- Experience with IT management in a related industry, for example delivering community services, health, disabilities or aged care;
- Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management, organisational change management and relationship management;
- Highly developed listening skills to effectively capture and understand customer requirements and produce a business case which accurately reflects these;
- Demonstrated evidence of writing business briefs, business cases whilst working with other contributors; and
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with thorough attention to detail.
