About the role
We are looking for a reliable, competent and exceptional Senior Systems Engineers with Level 3 skills in Office 365/Azure, AWS , IaaS, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare/Hyper-V and Windows server environments (yet be willing and able to do lower-skilled jobs/tasks if required by the organisation/customer).
This role will provide senior systems management and support for escalated BAU issues, solution design, project delivery and technical leadership/mentoring to junior team members.
The ideal candidate should be able to handle design, projects and escalated issues in the following technologies:
- Windows Server environments including AD/RDS
- Hosting (Iaas) with VMWare and HyperV expertise
- Implementation experience with Office 365 (ADFS, Azure ADSync, Hybrid Migrations)
- Exchange server upgrades and ongoing support (experience with DAG would be a bonus)
- Experience with design and implementation of Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions using software such as ShadowProtect,, Arcserve and Veeam
- SAN and storage expertise
You should be able to confidently say that you are a L3 engineer with expertise in Windows Server, virtualisation and cloud technologies. Certifications in the above listed areas of expertise would be ideal.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of customer infrastructure and systems
- Work on projects with various teams to identify and implement solutions across multiple customers.
- Work with the sales team to gather customer requirements and develop proposals to build and deliver simple to complex technical solutions.
- Work with project coordinators to plan projects and execute exceptional technical delivery to achieve business and technical outcomes for our customers
- Take ownership of assigned customers and projects
- Assist in the oversight, mentoring, and training of Level 1 and Level 2 technical staff. And be the escalation point for critical issues.
The candidate must have exceptional communication skills (not just command over the English language but you must be able to communicate well). Good skills in Networking is desirable.
