Well known organisation seeks a capable Oracle Database Administrator to implement and support reliable, secure, high performance database management systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Install and configure database systems, patches and upgrades.
• Design and implement new database and associated objects.
• Monitor and report on database service availability.
• Manage the development, testing and production database environments.
• Manage and conduct all aspects of capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of databases.
• Develop, implement and maintain database security controls.
• Liaise with application users to confirm requirements for system, backup and other requirements.

Experience and skills required:

• Strong experience as an Oracle DBA in a large organisation environment.
• Exadata (specifically configuration experience) is essential.
• Some experience as an SQL Server DBA would be useful too.
• Familiar with industry developments and best practice.
• Oracle DBA certification would be valued.
