A well-established commercial construction and maintenance company has an excellent opportunity available for a remarkable person to join our team.  Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Contracts Administrator will play a key role in the success of our projects and supporting our project managers.  The successful person will be experienced in managing client relationships and associated contractual and financial aspects of multiple projects.  This opportunity is based at our Kwinana office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Measurement of subcontractor works and values – assess subcontractor claims and advise commercial and project manager of outcomes.
  • Prepare variations & progress claims including all supporting data and submit for approval.
  • Measurement of project actuals against budget and schedule.
  • Liaison with Project Managers for cash flow projection and cost forecasts.
  • Audit and report on all scope increases, ensure that change registers are up to date and are reflected in the financial system. Report on non-conformance.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement registers / procedures ensuring that they are in line with Company Policy; up to date and are reflected in the Financial System.
  • Document Control.
  • Maintain Drawing Registers.
  • Maintain TQ / RFI Registers.
  • Work with Project Managers and provide input into monthly reports, review for accuracy.
  • Attend and participate in monthly project review meetings.
  • Travel to metropolitan and regional projects to measure completion status.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assist in Continual Improvement Processes.
  • Support estimating functions.

    Skills and Experienced:

    To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years' experience in contract administration in a similar role. Advanced excel, word and numerical skills.  Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with a diverse range of stakeholders; and strong negotiator. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised, prioritise multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines all while maintaining excellent attention to detail.  A working knowledge of Australian standard construction contracts, exposure to Contract Law and a basic understanding of Quantity Surveying functions are also required.  You must have at least 5 years' experience in the Australian Construction Industry, a valid driver's license and the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position.
