This role supports individuals and families within Cape York communities to manage money for basic material needs, build capabilities through financial literacy and behavioural change, and build assets through saving and disciplined money management.
We're seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual who is willing to try new things and be challenged to go the extra mile. Regular travel will be required to Aurukun, Coen, Hopevale and Mossman Gorge. High level of professional general administration skills, with the ability to prioritise commitments, meet deadlines and work under pressure is a must.
Some of the essentials we require from you:
- Knowledge of Cape York Peninsula; its peoples, cultures and/or environs;
- Strong admin skills in the use of Microsoft Office programs;
- Strong people skills with good listening capacity;
- Familiarity with and supporting attitude toward capability building with Indigenous communities;
- Certificate III in Financial Services or similar;
- QLD Drivers Licence
- Possess a Blue Card (or if successful provide evidence of obtaining/applying prior to commencement);
