We now have a part time, fixed-term opportunity to 31st December 2018 (extension pending external funding approval) based in Longreach. This role is classified as HEWL 4 $58,778 - $62,439, plus 17% superannuation.
About the position
The Training Assistant supports the administration of the Generalist Medical Training (GMT) education program within a designated Regional Node or GMT training site in accordance with College and Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) requirements. The incumbent will be the first point of contact for all Medical Education staff and Registrar enquiries and will provide administrative support for the teaching and learning program. The Training Assistant will respond to queries, schedule meetings, coordinate appointments, organise travel and purchasing, coordinate events, maintain relevant databases and spreadsheets and provide direct administrative support to Medical Education staff, Registrars, Supervisors and the GMT Management team.

We are looking for an experienced administrator who will relish the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment and contribute to the ongoing success of the GMT program. You will also:
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders;
- Have well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines;
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in managing high numbers of inquiries via phone and email;
- Utilise your problem solving skills to provide information whilst exercising confidentiality and discretion.
