Strategic Program and Protocol Manager
This is a unique and exciting opportunity is responsible for managing the day to day running of a small, highly skilled team, responsible for the organisation and execution of a high number of events and engagements annually. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong people and process manager, with solid program management capabilities and an understanding of protocol requirements when dealing with dignatories.
Leading the Strategic Program and Protocol function includes planning and development of a program which comprises of in excess of 600 events annually. You will be required to attend a large number of these events and to act as a conduit between the various officials and the public whilst in attendance.
You will oversee all strategic engagement activities through conception, development, planning and implementation of the program, workflow allocation as well as team management and a significant volunteer workforce. You will manage the attendance at events and functions as well as function and travel planning, coordination of meetings and all associated briefings. Additionally, you will be responsible for business planning and budget management, including approving budget for regional and international travel visits and credit card usage.
To secure this business-critical role you will be a strong people and process manager and have a proven track record in building and nurturing high performing teams within a program focussed environment. You naturally think on your feet and can juggle a high number of often conflicting tasks, and you will have an outstanding high level work ethic with a service focussed outlook.
A strong understanding of high-level protocol relevant to State/Federal Government, Military or Academia sectors and considerable stakeholder engagement. You will display exceptional interpersonal skills with attention to detail and organisational capabilities and will have managed the successful delivery of politically sensitive projects, programs and events on a large scale. This role will require frequent 'outside core business hours' attendance at functions and events as well as some local, national and international travel.
