Finance and Administration Support Officer

The Catholic Education Office Ballarat (CEOB) has across their Diocese, 64 diverse Catholic primary and secondary schools who each provide distinctive Catholic education from the Murray to the Sea.

Strategically, CEOB plays an important role in ensuring effective governance of all parish and diocesan schools, by promoting, enhancing and nurturing the Catholic identity of their schools, along with maximizing staff learning and identifying and encouraging leaders at every level to grow in capacity.

On behalf of the CEOB, we are seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Support Officer to support the Business Services team in the financial and administrative processes of the Catholic Education Office and to provide advice to schools in the Diocese of Ballarat in matters of school administration and finance.

The role will encompass but is not limited to:

·        Working collaboratively with the Business Services team to provide administrative and financial support and processing accounts

·        Assisting with financial reporting as required

·        Making judgements on payment processes and financial data

·        Collection and interpretation of administration and financial data

·        Being familiar with and complying with the CEOB child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety

·        Supporting the ethos, values and mission of Catholic Education

·        Other duties as designated by the Assistant Director: Business Services

Applicants for this position should be able to provide evidence of:

·        Previous experience in providing financial and general administration support to a finance team

·        Relevant qualifications in Finance desirable

·        The ability to participate effectively in a team environment and to develop collaborative working relationships

·        Demonstrated highly developed communication skills

·        Ability to work collaboratively along with high attention to detail and effective time management

·        Mature approach and the ability to deal with other employees and external clients professionally at all times

·        A commitment to the ethos, values and mission of Catholic Education

   It is essential that applicants hold:

  1. A current driver's licence

This position:

  • is fulltime ongoing
  • attracts 4 weeks' annual leave plus one "closure" week between Christmas and New Year (pro-rata)
  • is currently remunerated in accord with Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2013 – Catholic Education Office Clerical Employees Classification Education Support Level 3 range $66,849 pa to $73,427 pa
