The main focus of this position is to support and assist the Estimator Managing Director to undertake;

  • Seek information, pricing and quotations from suppliers and service providers
  • Support in the formulation of tender submissions and RFQs to prepare, format and undertake accurate data entry of pricing components
  • Prepare, present and submit to clients, quotations incorporating provided data and information as prepared by Estimator
  • Data entry of upcoming works (electronic calendar), scheduling of works programme and allocation of identified resources – plant, equipment and people
  • Manage and respond to emails (Managing Director) and ensure appropriate personnel are aware of required actioning
  • Maintain enquiry, quoting, scheduling and works underway Registers
  • Maintain contact with clients, suppliers and required personnel re the status of projects, timeframes, and relevant information

 

Generally

Capacity to effectively support management to maintain accuracy, reliability and integrity of systems and procedures

  • Communication – high range verbal, email and reports
  • Reliability to follow up with suppliers, contractors and service providers
  • Accuracy to input data and ensure correctness of records
  • Current knowledge of and experience with Microsoft products
  • Knowledge of commercial products re accounting packages, Apple products,
  • Capacity to meet standards re our quality certifications and high standards
  • Maintenance of business/company standards and expectations
  • Best practice customer service

 

You will have;

  • Proven administrative experience
  • Capacity to work independently (but as part of a team)
  • Computer and software skills
  • Understanding of the earth moving and haulage (Civil operations) industry
  • Demonstrated experience with customer and supplier management
  • Capacity to effectively resolve issues and negative responses from clients
  • Quality communication with a range of customers and clients
  • Presentation that reflects pride in individual performance
  • Punctuality, reliability, capacity to respond to the needs of the business
