The Position
St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service is currently seeking an experienced Medical Records Clerk to be responsible for the provision of a high quality clerical and medical record service, including the retrieval, preparation and maintenance of health information records.
Previous experience in a similar position with demonstrated knowledge of medical record procedures is essential for further consideration.
This position will be offered on a casual basis.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with the public, patients and all levels of staff.
- Ability to prioritise workload and collaborate within the team to achieve an efficient and effective clerical service.
- Demonstrated computer skills including word processing and data entry.
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to perform filing and retrieval tasks.
- Working knowledge under the Privacy Act.
