Are you a  looking for a great new challenge? Do you have experience coordinating high volumes of board/committee meetings and agendas? Have you worked as a senior Executive Assistant, had events experience or maybe had dealings with boards and committees? If you are someone that loves getting stuck in and being the go-to, this could be the role for you!

This leading industry association is responsible for providing high-quality information and services to their members within the financial services markets through effective training, conferences, workshops and market data.  

Reporting to the Head of Policy, you will be supporting executives, managing various committees, scheduling meetings, managing project timelines as well as providing Executive Assistant support to the CEO.  As you can imagine our client is, therefore, looking for somebody that is extremely organised, can build relationships quickly with both Senior Board Members as well as also their PA’s, and that has an extremely high attention to detail! In return you will have a welcoming and supportive team and be a part of a company that truly values their employees.

A day in the life of this successful candidate will include:
  • Being the main point of contact for all committee members
  • Preparing committee meeting agendas, minutes and action items for management
  • Making appropriate arrangements for meetings eg organise all venues, catering & AV equipment
  • Ensuring committee members are aware of all relevant correspondence
  • Updating committee details on websites and client databases
  • Liaising with the company secretary on the production of AGM papers, nominations, and elections
  • As well as a wide variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department!

To be successful in securing this opportunity you will need to; have experience dealing with and scheduling senior executives, pride yourself on your ability to make things happen, be used to working to deadlines and love building relationships. You will need to be hands-on and not precious. You will be the glue that holds the office together so it essential that no task is too big or too small. You will have plenty of opportunities to meet senior leaders and network within this position, so it essential you are a consummate professional. Coming from a member-based organisation will also be highly advantageous.

Advanced Word is also essential, along with intermediate Excel and PowerPoint.
