The Role

This is a newly created role, reporting to the CFO. It will see you evaluate all programs on a regular basis, with a focus on:
  1. Demonstrating minimum ROI (return on investment) to members for all projects and programs
  2. Support ongoing program development and investment allocation
  3. These programs run across Research and Development, Supply Chain and Marketing, so cover a really broad and interesting range
Strategic Plan Targets - The programs have measurement and evaluations (M&E) Plans developed (including data collection: requirements and timing) to determine achievement against the Strategic Plan targets. You will assist in future Program Investment logic and plans and estimate ROI

Data Collection - You will also coordinate data collections as required (often survey samples)

Cost Benefit Analysis - you will provide detailed cost benefit analysis for each Program to GM and C Level. These are to be based on accepted evaluation methods and are open to public scrutiny
  • Coordinate / undertake data collection, typically sample based
  • Maintain population databases
  • Robust assessment on ROI at program level, against the Strategic Plan
  • Support the development of future Strategic Plans, providing potential ROI from different investment scenarios
  • Ad hoc investment evaluations for investment planning
  • Assist in the development of M&E Plans for Production Program - coordinate data collection; collate survey responses, analyse data
  • Provide support to the CEO and Board level on an ad hoc basis

About You
  •  Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce or Agricultural Economics is a must
  • Circa 3- 5 years of experience in a data analysis role, with a focus on working with the business to understand and drive results
  • Experience in cost benefit analysis or financial assessment of investment projects
  • Experience in Agriculture or Rural Industries highly regarded
  • Understanding and experience in running or coordinating sample surveys, including survey design and analysis using excel or other tools
  • Experience in analysis, reporting and presentation of survey results
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Keen and eager to learn
