An exciting, new position has become available in our modern veterinary hospital for a head nurse.

The position will be perfect for an enthusiastic and responsible experienced qualified veterinary nurse who is happy to work in a team atmosphere and environment; someone with excellent skills; someone who is willing to give guidance to the other nursing staff and who feels passionate about the welfare of animals.
You will be in charge of a select team of nurses and be responsible for the day by day internal running of the hospital. That will include training of other staff, monitoring systems and programs, making sure each person is aware of their responsibilities and meets those responsibilities, doing rosters etc.
The successful applicant needs to be self-driven, have a good sense of humour, be fantastic at communication, love animals, want the best for their owners and be great at motivating other staff members.
Experience as a veterinary nurse (qualified) is essential. Preference will be given to the years worked in the profession and the experience you can demonstrate.
All weekend work is shared equally and on a rotation roster for all staff and that necessitates that the successful applicant will have to work on some weekends.
The starting salary is $52,000.00 plus Super with 4 weeks holidays per year.
