The NDIS Claims Officer will work within the Participant Engagement Department and will be responsible for establishing new systems and processes for the creation of and viewing of payment requests through the NDIS (MyPlace) Portal and other duties as required.

Reporting to the Manager, Participant Engagement, and working closely with the finance team, you will be responsible for the preparation of invoices, lodging and proactively managing allocated claims. You will need to have High level communication and customer service skills to facilitate and resolve claims in a timely manner.

Your role will comprise activities including but not limited to:

  • Being actively involved in the establishment of new processes
  • Creating and managing service bookings
  • Upload necessary documents to the portal
  • Work collaboratively across different departments
  • Provide monthly statements of services provided and funding balances
  • Ongoing communication with participants, their nominee, or their Plan Manager and other key stake holders

What you’ll need:

  • A qualification in finance or related discipline is desirable
  • High level accuracy and competency in the NDIS Price Guide and claim management process
  • Sound knowledge on NDIS policies
  • Reconciliation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability or past experience navigating the NDIS Portal
  • You will have a passion for improving the lives of people with a disability and a high understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
