About Us

Our services support people with a disability, young people, children, families, those escaping domestic violence, and those leaving prison, among others.

About the Role

We are currently taking expressions of interest from passionate and energetic Disability Support Workers to join our Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter Region teams. We currently have a number of casual and part time positions available.

These rewarding positions will provide a positive, strengths based and person-centered service to enable individuals living with a disability to reach their own potential, become valued members of the community and achieve their goals. This may include daily living assistance, personal care, supporting people with disabilities to be active in the community, attending appointments with people we support and administration of medication.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about supporting people in our community with disabilities. To be successful, you’ll also have:

  • A knack for developing relationships with people from all walks of life
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with people
  • The ability to work autonomously and follow procedure
  • The ability use a computer- ie: Word, Outlook and the internet

The Essentials

  • Certificate III in Disability or Home and Community Services or equivalent
  • Previous experience in actively supporting people with a disability is highly desirable but not essential
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Provide First Aid certificate
  • Hold a valid NSW drivers licence
  • Completion of a pre-employment medical (which may include a drug and alcohol test), National Criminal History Check, and Working with Children Check
