If this sounds like the perfect role for you? Then you will need to be able meet the following criteria:
- Processing the clearance of all goods including break bulk and general cargo
- Overseeing the classification and compiling of entries
- Processing Customs Declarations and Tariff Advices
- Attending to any queries or impediments raised by the Australian Customs Service or the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service
- Liaising with internal stakeholders
- Keep up to date with current customs and DOA industry changes and trends
In order to succeed in this role, you must have
- An active, valid Australian Customs Brokers licence
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of local customs regulatory requirements and processes
- Broad knowledge of the imports and export process
- The ability to work autonomously
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
