They use Australian raw materials to ensure the finest quality production. Together with their own production, they are one of the leading distributors of a range of packaging, catering and restroom supplies.

The major focus of this role is to manage and optimise the manufacturing flow of all processes, including scheduling, ordering raw materials and managing finished goods. To maintain production output within agreed limits and provide administrative and technical leadership to staff. Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee all scheduling activities for the plant and manage inventory of raw materials and ancillary items.

• Maintain Item Profile, BOM and Work Order accurately and ensure regular review of data in both templates and Pronto.

• Ensure quality control of receipted goods making sure they are in accordance to ordered products and instructions issued to suppliers.

• Optimise and maintain custom print lead times within agreed limits.

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure agreed service levels are maintained.

• Develop and prepare KPI reports for manufacturing-related activities using Excel.

• Ensure all Administration procedures that apply to the business are fulfilled.

• Be pro-active in the identification and evaluation of technology & equipment that may improve any operational aspect of manufacturing.

• Develop and implement structured reporting.

• Develop and maintain optimised procedures and processes.

• Develop and maintain a safe workplace.

Previous experience in a scheduling/production role within the packaging, paper or printing industry is ideal. The successful candidate will have intermediate computer skills, particularly Excel and sound administrative skills with a high attention to detail. A proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines as well as multi task is essential for this position.
