Service Stream are a national service provider to the telecommunications and utilities industries. We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of new and existing networks on behalf of our blue chip client base.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join our Network Construction business unit and assist in identifying opportunities for efficiencies, increasing productivity and automation/digitisation. Reporting to the General Manager, Transformation, this position is offered on a full time permanent basis and is based in our Collins Street Head Office.
Duties
Apply various continuous improvement (CI) principles and methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma (Black Belt level) or similar
Lead improvement projects: clarify the problem, engage stakeholders and sponsors, facilitate root cause analysis, solution identification workshops, collect and analyse data, monitor implementation of solutions
Position the business for growth in work volume from the client based on consistently high performance. Facilitate improvements in an open, customer-centric and engaging way with people in different roles across multiple teams
Implement and maintain a continuous improvement methodology across the department
Deliver continuous improvement training and coaching to all levels of the organisation
Build and manage effective relationships at a senior level with both internal and external clients
Actively contribute to the senior management team, providing regular reporting and strategic input to the business
Skills and Experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt with demonstrated proficiency in applying Lean and Six Sigma philosophies
- Proven experience in establishing and implementing process and systems improvement projects that have continuing long-term benefits
- Excellent communication and change management skills
- Proven stakeholder engagement and management skills
- An analytical and problem solving mindset
