One of Australia’s major industry bodies, investing more than $100 million into initiatives that drive the ongoing profitability and sustainability of Australian agriculture, is now seeking an Analyst within their Research, Marketing & Investments division.

Reporting to the Fund Manager, the Data & Insights function performs a crucial role in the investment business case and performance evaluation associated with the organisation’s investments.  The Unit is grounded in the collection and synthesis of industry data to inform and deliver investment analysis.

As Analyst you will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the development of analytical quantitative models to drive informed R&D, Marketing and Frontiers Fund impact assessment.

We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following skills and attributes:

• Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Economics or similar
• Minimum of one year’s experience in economic and data analysis, with the ability to analyse complex and disparate data to draw insights
• Experience/knowledge of partial equilibrium analysis (ex-ante and ex-post) using Cost Benefit Analysis and business case development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident in presenting technical information to diverse audiences
• Deep knowledge of agricultural production and markets (supply and demand)
